Jens bought his first Bike, a badly used, 750 four K2 Honda when he was 15 years old and directly converted it with an 823cc Yoshimura “Bigbore” Kit to a projectbike. After he had seen 1982 Freddy Spencer on the Honda 900cc Bol ´d or Superbike wheeling down the corkscrew in Laguna Seca in a racersvideo, he needed to get a high aluminium handlebar, a thick Marzocchi fork and than he hit the road, now with drivinglicence, as one of the first european riders in the total new american Superbike style.
In 1983 the logic next step was a SC01 Bol ´d or of the first series, what get the full package including Marchesini wheels and a complete enginetuning, turning the bike into a real Superbike style roadracer, also ok for some dragacing, first time 1984 in Mantorp/Sweden.
After some years engaged in vintagebike restaurations, Jens got in the nineties the first contact with Erik Buells Harley-Davidson powered Sportbikes. The first Buell was a 1991 RSS singleseater, what is today converted into a Turbobike. In 1999 Jens founded together with his wife Birgitta the company Hillbilly-Motors, who turn to one of the leading sourches for Buell aftermarketparts, the business was sold in 2005. Legendary and trendsetting Buell custombikes like the Buell XB Hellbender, get launched in the Hillbilly-Motors times. Various raceactivitys over the years in roadracing with Buell racebikes, including the development of the Twincarburator “Thors Hammer” Roadracer (Thunder B.E.A.R.S Champion 2007) and on the dragstrip with rider Stefan Graf on the M-Tek powered HD Sportster (Harley modified Champion GER/NL 2008), give NCCR also a deeply understanding about Sportriders needs.
This year Jens is celebrating 30 years of bikebuilding. And he´s still full of ideas......
